Door allerlei visa- en andere- perikelen moesten er nog een aantal spelers extra worden voorgedragen om mee te doen aan het eerste Adidas Nations Event, en voor mij stond als een paal boven water dat Tomas er een van moest worden. Door weer allerlei andere logistieke problemen ging hij dat jaar uiteindelijk niet naar de USA, maar sindsdien is hij present geweest op Adidas Nations en talloze andere prestigieuze Events. Hij speelt zelfs al enkele jaren in de Spaanse ACB, ondanks dat hij dus nog steeds slechts 20 jaar oud is.
Ook onze (tot nu toe enige) MU20A-team, met o.a. Mohamed Kherazzi, Stefan Mladenovic, Jesse Voorn, Dimeo vd Horst, Charlon Kloof, Jeroen van Vugt, Max van Schaik, Craig Osaikhwuwuomwam, Branko Olij, Thomas vd Mars, Joshu Kramer en Sander de Roos, maakten kennis met hem. Tsjechië en Nederland deelden de punten, en degradeerden samen terug naar de B-Divisie waaruit ze samen een jaar eerder waren gepromoveerd. De nederlaag tegen de Tsechen deed wel de dubbele winst van de Nederlanders tegen Turkije teniet, en Satoransky had daar een stevige hand in... Satoransky's stats in dat toernooi;
Nu moet hij dus de ingewikkelde keuze maken of hij nu in de NBA-Draft wil gaan, of dat hij zijn naam terugtrekt en het volgend jaar probeert. Ook moet hij beslissen of hij zijn tweejarige contract bij Sevilla uitdient, of mikt op een directe overstap naar de NBA. Ik wens hem daarbij veel wijsheid toe. Maar bang dat hij geen goede NBA-speler zal worden ben ik totaal niet: hij wordt een hele goede!! Persoonlijk lijkt het me wel aardig als hij, op een of andere wijze, bij de Chicago Bulls terecht zou komen. Over enkele jaren een fitte Derrick Rose naast een volwassen Tomas Satoransky zien spelen lijkt mij een groot genoegen...

Was the revelation of the camp, played better and better each day and showed very good maturity for the youngest player in the camp. Physically he needs a lot to develop, but it didn't stop him from playing tough and hard. Very good athlete, explosive leaper and one of the best leapers in the camp jumping of one feet. Great all round game, very versatile and real smart and creative. Played almost all the time at the OG position what will be his future, but can also help a little at the PG. Even when he can play some SF/PF it will never be his position. He is very creative with the ball, to get his own baskets, but even more to create for others, great feel for when and how to pass. Recognize plays and can execute them in split seconds. Very good without the ball, great cuts and use of picks. Quick first step, good ballhandling with either hand and can finish with both. Really needs to work on his outside shooting, hardly took a shot from beyond the arc and mises all of them. Shot the ball much better 2 years ago. Runs the floor very well, can push and finish and run catch and make a pass. He is a very active and explosive rebounder, with a natural feel for the ball. Good timing, had an incredible tip dunk out of nowhere. Defense is quick and better on the ball than before, but he is better to deny and go for the steal than stopping his man. Smart and quick help side defender. Will become a very good player, has athletic abilities, great feel for the game, very nice skills and more than anything he is real dedicated and motivated. “

Tomas Satoransky worked out for the Warriors on Sunday, a day before he has to make a huge life decision.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound Czech guard has options for each of the final two years of his contract with Cajasol Sevilla of the top-level Spanish League. He could opt to go play in the NBA right away, get drafted this year but play one more season overseas or remove his name from the 2012 NBA draft altogether.
"I'm leaning toward staying in (the draft), but I don't want to rush anything," said Satoransky, who also has worked out for Washington and Cleveland. "Some team will have to have a lot of interest in me and want to work with me to improve."
The Warriors have four picks (Nos. 7, 30, 35 and 52) and have been open about not wanting to add four rookies to a roster that will include at least three second-year players. Satoransky could prove to be a perfect draft-and-stash option for the Warriors, who could use one of their second-round picks on him and continue his development overseas for a year or two.
That timeline could prove sensible, because the Warriors are interested in signing an experienced point guard to back up Stephen Curry for the 2012-13 season. If they persuade someone like Jason Kidd to take the mid-level exception, Satoransky could be ready to play in the NBA when Kidd retires.
Satoransky's size makes him a good fit as an NBA shooting guard, but he has played the point all his basketball life and is most comfortable initiating a team's offense. For the second consecutive season, he was one of the most impressive players at the Adidas Euro Camp - where he put on a show this month a day after flying from the Chicago combine to Treviso, Italy.
"I think there are two different Tomas Satoransky games," he said. "In Europe, I play a lot of point guard and run the team. Here, I can develop my style with aggressive drives to the basket."
