De Bulls in 'Rebuild-modus';
'is het Debat' nu voorbij?
of start er gewoon een nieuwe ronde?

De Chicago Bulls zijn al een jaar of twintig aan het 'Rebuilden'; een paar keren leek de club goed op weg terug te komen aan 'de Top', maar dan bleek het toch weer 'Net Niet'. Zeker onder coach Tom Thibodeau werd er meer dan aardig gepresteerd...de coach was ook populair bij fans en team...maar er was ook serieuze kritiek, o.a. van 'de 'Front-office'...en dan weet je... Exit coach dus.

Nog maar kort geleden leek de club teveel 'Francise players' te hebben; Noah, Rose, Butler. Een jaar verder, en ze zijn allemaal weg. En waar gaat die hoeksteen van de organisatie van 2017-2018 dan wel naar toe?

Juist ja: naar de coach die populair was en toch weg moest!

Coach 'Thibbs' die sinds afgelopen seizoen begon de scepter zwaait bij de Minnesota Timberwolves...

THIBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

This is beautiful. There were many nights during this past season when I thought back to last year's draft. That's when it was reported that Tom Thibodeau had been discussing Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn in a Jimmy Butler trade. Talks fell apart, and it's not clear which side backed out. 

What we do know: Had Thibs traded two promising young players for a veteran less than a month after taking over the most promising young team in the league, the Internet would've had a panic attack. What later became clear as the 23-year-old Dunn struggled mightily and Jimmy Butler dominated for Chicago: if that draft night deal was on the table for Thibs and the Wolves, it would've been the right move.
