Arriving from Macedonia today and with an important past in the Canary Basketball Academy. Charlon Kloof will return this Wednesday to the islands to play a match that will close the first phase of Eurocup competition between Herbalife Gran Canaria and KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom, his team since the start of the season.
Formed at the University of St. Bonaventure, Kloof is recognized as one of the best Dutch players today and on his resume he always boasts of having lived his training period at the Canarias Basketball Academy, the academy that provided him with an opportunity to gain a scholarship so that he could continue to develop his basketball combining it with his studies in the United States.
From the United States, having achieved his goals, he returned to Europe to start his professional career in Turkey with İstanbul DSİ. He has also passed through Greece and Italy before arriving this year to Macedonia. In the summer of 2015 he was one of the top players of the EuroBasket in France thanks to averaging 16.2 points (61.1% in triples), 4.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1 steal in 29 minutes of play.
This year he has been a consistent player for the Balkan club averaging 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in the demanding Adriatic League and in Eurocup competition is it’s most outstanding player with 10 points, 7, 3 assists and 17 efficiency points valuation for his team, KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom,

Charlon is a very dear person in the residence of Tafira Alta. The Dutch and Surinamese players who now attend the prestigious academy have in their countryman a perfect example to follow, they all have come to the CBA aware of what the academy meant for probably the best player currently in the Dutch national team.
